These pages are the writings of Howard “Alex” Underwood and are the culmination of over seventeen years experience in the IT industry. I have held positions in front line support, data center operations, field engineering, presales, storage engineering, architecture, technical lead, and a Systems Engineering Team Manager.

Much of the technical writing on these pages will either be projects I am working on or challenges I have participated in previously. As of 2026, a focus will likely be placed on what virtualization will look like in the Broadcom owned VMWare era. I feel as if this is a question of the times for many Infrastructure Engineers and the people they report to.
